Bathroom remodels, built from the waterproofing out.
Bathroom design and construction across Los Angeles and Ventura counties. The waterproofing under the tile is what keeps the room sound, and it is inspected and covered up before the tile goes on.

Designed and built to fit your room. What is included is agreed at the visit and written into the quote.
Why waterproofing is the whole job
A shower leaks slowly. Water finds the framing behind the tile, and nothing shows on the surface for a year or two while the wall rots quietly. By the time a stain shows on the ceiling below, the repair includes the framing under the bathroom.
The waterproofing is inspected before the tile goes on, which is the only moment anybody can see it. After that it is behind the wall for the life of the room. We document that stage and hand you the record, so it exists whether or not you remember to ask.
What the code says about bathroom fans
Under the 2025 California Residential Code, section R325.2.1, a bathroom with a tub or shower must have mechanical ventilation for humidity control, and an openable window does not count.
The fan has to vent outdoors. If it dumps into the attic, or there is no fan, the room grows mold however good the waterproofing is, because the moisture has nowhere to go.
What decides a bathroom
What goes into the quote depends on how much of the room changes.
The job is usually shaped by one of three things: moving the plumbing, a curbless shower that needs the floor structure altered, or slab material that has to be fabricated rather than bought by the box. We go over whichever one applies at the visit, so you know about it before work starts.
Bathrooms we have built
Real bathrooms from our projects. Each photo opens the project it came from. All of our work is on our projects page.
Ask any contractor how the waterproofing gets signed off.
It is the one part of a bathroom you cannot inspect after the fact, and the one that costs the most to put right.
“Joseph was very clear about the process, the costs, the recommendations. … His team was very professional, on time, fast, and respectful, but most importantly, they were good!”
