What decides a kitchen

What goes into the quote depends on how much of the kitchen changes.

A refresh in the same layout is one job. A full gut, where walls move and plumbing and gas are relocated, is another. One visit tells us which one your room needs.

What makes a kitchen need a permit

Replacing cabinets and counters in the same layout generally does not. Moving or adding electrical, plumbing or gas does, and so does taking out anything structural to open the room up.

Unpermitted work tends to come up when the house is sold or refinanced, when the buyer has leverage and you have a deadline.

A lien release with every payment

If a contractor does not pay his subcontractors or suppliers, they can put a lien on your house even after you have paid him in full, so you can end up paying twice. We give you a lien release with each payment.
